About Kula Shaker
In the 90s, the Britpop scene took the world by storm, with a plethora of British bands entering the scene and changing the history of rock. Kula Shaker is no doubt one of the standard bearers of the Britpop phenomenon. The band emerged in the scene in the mid-90s with the release of the debut album K to critical acclaim. The album went Double Platinum and became one of the fastest selling debuts in the UK. After releasing second album Peasants, Pigs & Astronauts in 1999, Kula Shaker split and left the scene until reforming in 2006 with original band members: vocalist and guitarist Crispian Mills, bassist Alonza Bevan and drummer Paul Winterhart, adding new keyboardist Henry “Harry” Broadbe to the crew. The band had set up their own label and released the new album Strangefolk. “The time was right,” mused Mills, “It’s a time for musical independence, the power is going back to the artist. It’s up to each of us what we make of the opportunity.” The album was a success in the UK and Japan and so was the tour that followed. The band will release their fourth album Pilgrim Progress in June with an international tour that includes Hong Kong.
About Dave Seaman
In 1987 Dave Seaman won a trip to New York to attend the New Music Seminar. The trip ultimately landed the Leeds native the editorship at Mixmag and so started his long standing affair with dance music. For 20 years, Dave Seaman’s creativity and talent have led him to work with the likes of Michael Jackson, New Order, U2, David Bowie, Kylie Minogue, Take That, Pet Shop Boys and Alanis Morrissette, to produce new materials or remix songs. Dave Seaman has an impressive 60 releases and 30 remixes under his belt, including the ever popular Global Underground and Renaissance series. Having played the world’s most recognized festivals and clubs in more than over 70 countries, Dave Seaman will move the dance floor our way this summer at AsiaWorld-Arena. Fans in Hong Kong are in for a treat.
About James Holroyd
Hailing from Leeds, England, James Holroyd started his DJ career in high school. His unique style secured him the residency at Music Factory in Leeds. He later moved to Manchester to attend college, and in 1993 he joined forces with the Jockey Slut Magazine to form a house and techno based club night Bugged Out!. The weekly night was such a success that earned itself the Muzik Magazine Award for Club of the Year in 1997. Living in Manchester had also led him to hook up with the Chemical Brothers. Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons were so impressed with James Holroyd’s DJ style that they invited him to tour with them in England since 1995. Hong Kong band Mr has also collaborated with James Holroyd for the remix of the band’s song Everyone.
About Suresh Nelson
Minimal techno and micro house are Malaysian Suresh Nelson’s choice of music. His unique DJ style has earned him hordes of followers back in his home town. His resident programme Dialogue 7 for HITZ.FM is Malaysia’s number 1 dance music programme with an average of 2 million listeners per week. No wonder Suresh Nelson is named as The Malaysian Wizard.

About Kula Shaker
英倫搖滾在90年代曾掀起一場音樂風暴，當年不少英國樂隊都為搖滾樂壇譜上新的定義，為樂迷帶來更多驚喜，而Kula Shaker絕對是當中的功臣之一。Kula Shaker於90年代中期加入樂壇時，旋即引起各界熱烈追捧，首張大碟《K》於96年推出時火速賣出雙白金銷量，成為英國史上處女大碟銷售速度最快的單位之一。99年推出過《Peasants, Pigs & Astronauts》後，Kula Shaker曾一度告別搖滾圈，不過06年樂隊成立自家音樂品牌，並於翌年以原班人馬：主音兼結他手Crispian Mills、低音結他手Alonza Bevan及鼓手Paul Winterhart，再加入鍵琴手Henry ‘Harry’ Broadbe推出大碟《Strangefolk》。Crispian表示：「那是一個讓音樂獨立發展的良機，每個成員都能發揮他的最大作用。」唱片在英國及日本均引起極大迴響，接著的巡迴演出也好評如潮，促使Kula Shaker於今年6月再度推出第4張大碟《Pilgrims Progress》，並舉行亞洲巡迴，而香港亦成為其中一站。
About Dave Seaman
時光倒流至1987年，因為贏得一次前往紐約參與New Music Seminar的機會，生於英國列斯的DJ Dave Seaman獲得在權威dance music及clubbing雜誌《Mixmag》編輯一職，從此與dance music結下不解緣。20多年來，Dave Seaman的創意，吸引了Michael Jackson、New Order、U2、David Bowie、Kylie Minogue、Take That、Pet Shop Boys及Alains Morissette找他製作新歌或為歌曲重新混音，過去推出的60張大碟及30張混音大碟均受到樂迷熱捧，當中的《Global Underground》及《Renaissance》系列，更是長賣長有。Dave Seaman歷年來曾走訪逾70個國家，在各大型音樂節或知名夜店盡顯其DJ功架，今次Dave Seaman將舞池移師到香港亞洲國際博覽館，樂迷將可親身感受他的魅力。
About James Holroyd
來自列斯的James Holroyd，在高中年代已展開他的DJ生涯。因為別樹一幟的打碟方式，讓他成功獲得在Music Factory成為駐場DJ的機會，及後到曼徹斯特升讀大學時，於1993年與當時得令的英國音樂雜誌《Jockey Slut Magazine》成員合辦以house及techno音樂作主打的Bugged Out!音樂派對，多年來派對辦得有聲有色，更曾於1997年獲《Muzik Magazine》頒發年度盛事大獎。在曼徹斯特的生活，亦同時令James Holroyd遇上Chemical Brothers。Tom Rowlands與Ed Simons對James Holroyd的DJ style甚為欣賞，在1995年便邀請他擔任組合的英國tour DJ，一直合作至今，而香港樂隊Mr.，亦曾邀請James Holroyd為其作品〈Everyone〉重新混音。
About Suresh Nelson
來自馬來西亞的Suresh Nelson，對minimal techno及micro house音樂情有獨鍾，獨有的打碟風格，令他在本土有大量的追隨者，由他主持的HITZ.FM電台節目《DIALOGUE 7》每星期平均有200萬名聽眾收聽，是馬來西亞No.1舞曲音樂節目，難怪Suresh Nelson被譽為「馬來西亞奇才」（The Malaysian Wizard）。
